Our Story

Concerned Citizens 4 Commonsense Communities, Inc.

C4 is a Florida-registered Political Action Committee headquartered in Englewood, FL. We were founded by a group of local residents who believed it was time for everyday people to take an active role in shaping the communities they love.

We are not lifelong politicians. We are neighbors, small business owners, parents, retirees, and longtime Floridians who simply care about the future of our state. Many of us never imagined we would be running a PAC, but circumstances asked it of us, and we answered.

Today, C4 stands as a grassroots voice for accountable government, responsible leadership, and the kind of commonsense values that hold our communities together.

Our Purpose

Why C4 Was Formed

C4 was formed because we believe that local government works best when ordinary citizens are willing to step up. Too often, important decisions are made without input from the people most affected by them. Too often, good candidates get drowned out by political noise, big money, and party politics.

We exist to change that. C4 works to:

Identify and support trustworthy local candidates
Educate voters on the issues that matter in our communities
Bring neighbors together through events and open conversations
Hold elected officials accountable to the people they serve
Encourage everyday citizens to get involved in local government

Leadership

Led by Local Citizens

C4 is led by Carla Smith, a longtime Florida resident, small business owner, and accounting professional with more than 30 years of experience. Like many of our supporters, Carla never planned on stepping into a leadership role in local politics. She did so out of a sense of duty to her community.

Carla serves as Chairman of C4 and remains committed to keeping the focus on the cause, not the personalities behind it. C4 is built by neighbors working together, and our leadership reflects that same spirit of quiet, steady service.
